Born Herman Gomez Rosado in Humacao, Puerto Rico, in 1969, DJ Cyber’s obsession with sound was forged in the analog era. What began as a childhood passion —meticulously capturing radio broadcasts onto cassettes to craft his early mixtapes —quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit of sonic excellence.

In 1980, Herman relocated to New Orleans, immersing himself in a city world-renowned for its vibrant culture and musical soul. It was there, in 1984, that he acquired his first pair of legendary Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables. At just 15 years old, he dedicated himself to mastering the complex art of the mix, developing a technical precision that remains his hallmark today.

Since his debut, DJ Cyber has commanded the booths of iconic venues across both New Orleans and Puerto Rico, leaving his mark on legendary spots such as Sigfields, Kenny’s Vincent Southside, Rosie’s Disco, The Light House, and Shanty’s Pub.

Today, he stands as one of the few remaining torchbearers of the prestigious Fat City era. His sets are a masterclass in evolution, seamlessly blending decades of technical expertise with the raw, driving energy of modern EDM.
