Biography

DJ Cyber was born Hemenegildo Gomez Rosado in Humacao, Puerto Rico in the year 1969. His interest in music began at a very young age. He used to listen to music on the radio and then record it on cassettes to prepare his own Mixtapes.

In 1980, he moved to the US to live with his mother, who had already been living in the state of Louisiana since his parents divorced. Growing up in a place so full of life, culture and music on every corner, it was only a matter of time before he began to express his love for music..

In 1984 at the young age of 15 he bought his first Turntables, a pair of Technics SL-1200MK2s and started practicing until he felt sufficiently prepared to go after his first gig. Since then he has played in various clubs in Louisiana and Puerto Rico such as Sigfields, Kenny’s Vincent Southside, Rosie’s Disco, The Light House, Shanty’s Pub and many, many more…

Recognized as an original DJ of the Fat City era.
